This policy explains what Caliper UI collects when you use this website, the component registry, the MCP server or a Caliper UI account, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Caliper UI is the controller. Write to support@caliperui.site about anything here.
What we collect and why
- Your email address, when you sign in or buy. It identifies your account and your licence, and it is where we send sign-in codes and licence emails. Legal basis: providing the service you asked for.
- Sign-in codes and sessions. A six-digit code is stored until you use it or it expires after ten minutes. Signing in sets one essential session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
- Your IP address, briefly, to limit how often codes can be requested and to stop abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.
- Purchases. Dodo Payments is the merchant of record and processes your payment, billing address and tax details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email, a customer id, the plan, the amount, the currency and a payment id, and keep them as the record of your licence.
- Team seats. If a Team owner adds you, we store your email on their licence so you get access when you sign in.
- Access tokens. We store a one-way hash of each token, its name and when it was last used, never the token itself.
- Usage counts. We count steps such as "pricing viewed", "install command copied" and "checkout started" with the page and the time, and nothing that identifies you. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page views, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.
- Your browser keeps your theme and package-manager choice in local storage. They never leave your device.
We do not sell personal data, show ads, or use your data to train models.
We send service emails only: sign-in codes, licence confirmations and seat invitations. If we ever send product updates, every one will have an unsubscribe link, and buyers can opt out at any time.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and outgoing email, and provides the analytics. Data may be processed in any country where Cloudflare operates, under its data processing terms and standard contractual clauses.
- Dodo Payments handles checkout, receipts and refunds.
How long we keep it
Your account and licence are kept while you have them. Purchase records are kept as long as tax law requires. Sign-in codes expire after ten minutes and sessions after 30 days. Usage counts contain no personal data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete your account, or object to how we use it, by writing to support@caliperui.site. We answer within 30 days. Deleting your account ends Pro access through it; it does not refund a purchase. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Caliper UI is for developers and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the version and date above and email account holders before it takes effect.
